An electrician working on the Willshire Grand Tower in Los Angeles fell to his death on Thursday leading to an official investigation. The worker fell at 12:30 and struck the back of a moving vehicle, leaving witnesses in shock. The Wilshire Grand Tower will eventually be the tallest building on the Mississippi River.
Employees at Martin Project Management, the group in charge of the massive project, and its CEO stated that all workers are required to wear harnesses tied to railings to prevent falls. Additionally, barricades have been erected around the perimeter to protect workers from going too close to the edge.
Tragically, it was the employee’s second day on the job. Investigations remain ongoing.
