Halloween Safety Tips

  • Make sure children can see/walk freely in their costumeshalloween
  • Attach reflective tape to bags and costumes
  • Parents should accompany young children and set a reasonable curfew for older kids
  • Avoid dark houses and streets, stick to well-lit areas
  • Teach your child how to dial 911 in case of an emergency
  • Trick or treat in groups
  • Use caution near lit candles, jack-o-lanterns, and luminaries

 

  • Keep pets in a quiet room away from loud noises and commotion (doorbells, costumes, etc. can be frightening)
