Consumer Advisory: Defective Airbags Affect Up to 4.7 Million Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration is encouraging drivers of certain cars to take immediate action.  Up to 4.7 million vehicles manufactured by Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, BMW, and General Motors are equipped with defective Takata brand airbags.  Officials are warning that the internal inflator inside of the airbags can potentially explode causing severe injury and death.  At least one death is being blamed on the recalled airbags.
